Silantro

It was almost 9PM when me and my friends decided to have some drinks however we are still in the office and not yet finished with our work. Fortunately, our office is located just near Kapitolyo, Pasig giving us easy access to the different restaurants and hang-outs. At 10PM we were able to finish our work and we agreed to spend the rest of the night at Silantro.

Very obviously, the place was named after one of the most common herb used in cooking. Silantro is one of those restaurant in Kapitolyo that is very popular so we were not surprised that the place was full when we arrived.

The waiter approached us as we enter the place and told us that we are fifth in the waiting list. He immediately gave us the menu for us to check what we would like to order. We first ordered a bucket and asked him to already give us each a bottle of beer. We advised him that  we will just order the food and have the rest of our bucket of beer when we are seated.

After some minutes we had a table outside. My friend prefers to be seated outside so that she can smoke  and so that there's less noise.  While preparing our table, one of the waiter took our order.

My ultimate favourite at Silantro is their Nachos. Their nachos is oozing with Angus beef, cheese and tomatoes. Oh yeah, I forgot it has cilantro.

The next on our menu is the Silantro Quesadillas. The Silantro Quesadillas is their chicken Quesadilla. It has fries on top and to complete it, the Cilantro are sprinkled over the fries and Quesadilla. Just like the Nachos, the quesadillas is filled with cheese.

Silantro is opened only until 12AM however the people there allowed us too stay even past their store hours so that we can finished our drinks. Silantro is a perfect place for those who just like to chill out. The place is not that so quiet but it allows friends to have some good conversations. It is less crowded compare to other bar or restaurants. Aside from that it is very accessible from our office.

Back to Meat Plus

It seems that Meat Plus Cafe is a mandatory stopover whenever we go to Subic. We just loved how they cook their meat.

We were already on our way home from a swimming when we decided to have dinner at Meat Plus. We have some companions who have not yet tried to eat here so we were excited for them.

It was Sunday and everyone coming out of the Church seems to be heading to Meat Plus. The whole place was full and people kept coming in. We were lucky that there's a table left that can accommodate our group. The staff are also very quick to set-up another table so that our group can be seated immediately.

There was already a long line in the counter. While on the line, I had figured out what I would eat for that evening. I have not eaten much while we were on the island where we had our swimming. I had headache when we arrived at the island because of the extreme heat that I wasn't able to enjoy the foods that they served. So now that we are at Meat Plus, I

Meat Plus has Combo Meal where you can easily choose your meal or you can choose your own steak and they will cook it for you. I usually go for the combo meal because the rice meal already includes a soup and drinks.

Oven Roasted Beef Belly
My personal favorite at Meat Plus is the Oven Roasted Beef Belly which costs P220. Its very delicious! The meat was so tender that it can easily be tore. Just the look of gravy on top of the meat is mouth watering.

Mashed Potato

I'm not a heavy eater however I felt the urge to order their mashed potato. Believe it or not I was able to finish up even the mashed potato.
The Soup
I'll never get tired of eating at Meat Plus. A trip to Subic will never be complete without dining at Meat Plus. You may also want to visit my previous of Meat Plus to know how I also enjoyed my first visit.

Sunkissed at Canyon Cove

Our team never had a summer outing. So we were excited when we plan to have a summer outing this year. We were supposed to be thirteen but because of unexpected events and emergencies we were down to nine. We decided t push through with the outing even if we are incomplete.

One of us has a friend who owns a Villa at Canyon Cove. We asked his friend if we can rent his place and he agreed. We also checked the Canyon Cove Beach Club but it was fully booked on the date we chose. The Villa has all the things needed for an overnight stay. It has a bedroom, two bathrooms, kitchen with utensils and a veranda which has the view of the sea.

We left the office at 7AM. We had a lot of stopover so we reached the place at around 12PM. At that time we are all dead hungry. We settled our things and then checked the place for other things that we should buy. Since we have our own transportation going out of the place was easy. We had our lunch outside the resort and bought foods for our dinner and breakfast.

The sun was still at its peak when we went back to the resort. We stayed in our room and played some cards. We went out and basked at the sun at around 3PM.

The View from our Room
The Coconuts
The water was very cool. We waded on the water to feel refreshed. Our guy companions brought down the kayak. Our guy companions even have snorkeling gears.

Too bad we found some trash in the water. We even thought of a used condom as an eel. Yes, seriously we found a used condom thrown in the water. The sand in the beach is also not that fine. It's advisable to wear an aqua shoes to avoid getting hurt from the small stones.

We waited for the sunset before we headed back to our room for the night. We drank some of the liquors be brought while waiting for the sunset.

The sunset was spectacular. The round shape of the sun was very define and the bright colors were reflecting on the water.

On the next day, we went to the infinity pool however we are not allowed to swim because we were not checked in on the hotel. They said that the pool access is only for those staying on the hotel. Those who are staying in the Villa can only swim in the beach.

We left the place at 9AM. We only have a short time but we enjoyed our stay.
