Finding a vacant place in Kapitolyo, Pasig on a Friday and Saturday is hard. The place is always full of hungry people. Every restaurant has a waiting line. So even if it was only Monday we were already thinking were to head out that Friday. We were looking for a place where we can eat, drink and talk.
We have two places in mind: Silantro and Uncle Moe's Shawarma. If we want to dine at Silantro we need to leave office earlier than the usual which means we have to report for work early. It will not happen. So, it's Uncle Moe's Shawarma since we are also missing the delicious taste of their Kebabs.
Uncle Moe's Shawarma Hub is much nearer in our office so getting to the place was not a problem. The place was almost full when we arrived. There were only two tables left and both are outside.
The waitress immediately handed their menu when we were seated. We had taken our dinner before heading to Uncle Moe's so our order was just a bucket of mixed beer. They only offer local beer like San Mig Light, Tanduay Ice and Red Horse. Their drinks are limited which I think is the only thing disappointing about them.
For food we ordered their Kebabs. We had their Chicken Kebab and Beef Kebab. They have Kebab platter which has a choice of rice or pita bread on the side. Their Kebab platter only costs P167.00. A single order of chicken or beef kebab costs P79.00. They also offer rice meal which also very affordable. Their usual meal would not exceed P200.
Uncle Moe's Shawarma offers delectable Persian food at a very much affordable price compared to other Persian restaurants. It is not classy and taste may not be like the expensive Mediterranean restaurant but they are able to capture the taste that I like.
