Chillin' out at Icebergs

Saturday night is dine-out night. It has been months since the last time me and my sister have dinner outside on a Saturday after attending the mass. It's hard finding a nice place to eat during Saturday night because malls usually get crowded easily. We have already chosen two restaurants to have our dinner however to our dismay they are both full. My sister decided to eat at a restaurant we have never tried before however upon going there we passed by Icebergs. My sister suddenly pulled me back and said "they have sisig". I said "what?" Icebergs have sisig and that is how we ended having our dinner at Icebergs.

The place was not that full and most of the customers are eating ice creams or halo-halo. A waiter approached us and we sit gave us the menu. Well, obviously my choice was the sisig and my sister choose lasagna. Compared to my sister, I was very much hungry and would really want to eat rice. We were thinking to order nachos which is a new addition on their menu however I told her that I would want to eat ice cream. Even though I'm very hungry I know the limit of my little stomach and having nachos and sisig is already enough to fill my empty stomach.

The service was very fast as we do not need to wait that long for our drinks to be served and then after another minute our meal is also brought in our table. The smell of the sisig is very much enticing. Before I mixed the egg with the minced meat I noticed that there are bits of "chicharon" on top of it. I think this what make the food smell so good. My sister tasted it and also agreed on the very mouth-watering smell of the pork. I don't want to exaggerate the taste of the food and I would not say that they have the best sisig in town however having chicharon on it really makes the dish special. The lasagna was good also. There were lots of beef and cheese. The serving portion of the food also is very generous.

The Sisig

After having our main course we ordered ice cream. I was thinking to order a parfait but I know I cannot consume a large order of ice cream. Me and my sister decided to both order a sundae. I ordered Cappucino Sundae and she had Chocolate Kahlua Sundae. Their sundae have one scoop of vanilla, your choice of ice cream, then the whip cream and on top of it all is the cherry. Marshmallows and chocolate bits are sprinkled on the sundae. Aside from ice cream like sundae and parfait, of course Icebergs has their famous halo-halo, they also have different varieties of banana split and crepes. They also have shakes and juices for drinks.

Icebergs has a good selection of rice meals. Some of their rice meals are Liempo, Tapsilog, Lechon Kawali, Korean BBQ, and Chicken Cordon Bleu. They have different kinds of soup and appetizers. Kids will love their Fries topped with Chili Con Carne and Melted Cheese which goes well with ice cream.

Foods at Icebergs ranges from P150 - P200. The parfaits and sundaes would start at P150 while the halo-halo is at P100. Their salad is at P170.
