Lost Passport, Gondola Ride and More in Macau

I've lost my passport in Macau. The worst part is I lost it when we just arrived in Macau coming from Hong Kong so my whole supposed to be vacation in Macau was suddenly focused in processing my travel papers so that I can go home. However, with all the stress and anxiety of the situation I was still able to enjoy my Macau trip even though I wasn't able to visit some of the popular tourist's destination.

I assume that I lost my passport while in the ferry terminal. So on our first day in Macau it was a trip from the ferry terminal to the police station and to the Macau Immigration office. It was a very tiring trip because since it was our first day we are not yet very familiar with their transport system.

On the next day, while waiting news from the Consul Office, my friends and I went to the Venetian Hotel to experience the Gondola ride. The Gondola ride is one of the must experience thing to do in Macau. The Venetian Hotel has done a fantastic job in making the place looks similar like the Canals in Venice.

While on the Gondola ride, the boatman but in our case it was a lady, will serenade you. It was even amazing because the lady knows a Filipino song and sang it to us. She has a very beautiful voice and you'll really feel that you are in the Canal of Venice.

My stay at the Venetian Hotel was cut short because I have to look for a photography studio that will take a passport size picture of me which is needed for my travel papers. Good thing the lady in the Consul office told me where can I find the photography studio and lucky me it was just a walking distance away from Senado Square.

I left my companions at the Venetian Hotel and we agreed that we will just meet each other either in Senado Square or in our hotel. While waiting for my photo to be processed I had the time to discover solely Senado Square. The place was filled with people watching the Grand Prix in a big screen. Tourists are everywhere buying almond cookies and meat jerky. Clothing stores and other luxury stores are on sale so people just really fills the whole place.

These are some of the establishments around Senado Square. The stores of meat jerky and other souvenir items are located at the side.

This man is selling cashew nuts in Senado Square. He had some customers before I was able to capture a picture of him. Senado Square is one of the busiest place in Macau aside from the Hotels and Casinos.

I was also able to spot this cute Hello Kitty store of almond cookies. All their almond cookies has a Hello Kitty design. Their almond cookies also have different flavors.

I wasn't able to go to St. Peter's Ruin on our Macau trip because I have to process my travel document. However, I was able to still have a wondrous experience going around Macau on my own. On my commute, I was able to see the Macau tower and other streets in Macau.

In the afternoon went to their church and I was able to have another me time. During this solo moment I was able to do some photo walk in Macau. There were a lot of locals doing their exercise near the church so I just stayed there until my friends finished their religious obligation.

Even though I've experienced a misfortune in Macau I wouldn't say that my vacation my ruined. I've still enjoyed my Macau trip!
